Front Post Double Crochet Stitch (FPdc)
Reviewed by Trish

Supplies used in example: size G hook and Red Heart worsted weight yarn.

If you are making a dishcloth, I do not recommend using acrylic yarn but cotton yarn instead.

Here is the URL with directions for doing the FPdc: Daphne's Tutorial Page

This stitch is easy to do, once you get the hang of wrapping the hook around the post.

I'm not too good at writing directions but will give it a try.

Row 1: dc in 4th ch from hook and across to end, ch 3, turn.

Row 2: *dc in first sp, FPdc on next post* repeat from star across ch 3, turn. Repeat row 2 until the desired size.

This stitch could be used for an afghan, sampler squares, dishcloths, hot pad or just about anything else that you are making.
